Prep and Aftercare

Please make sure that all other treatments - lashes, brows, nails, waxing etc are complete before your Bridal tan. Any Botox puncture wounds must be healed and sunburn cannot be tanned over unfortunately.  Retinol must be stopped a few days before your tan and a few days after for flawless results.  Choose from a tanning solution containing a cosmetic bronzer or clear solution, extra care must be taken with this tan. 

Self Care before your Bridal Tan and Trial Tan 

Exfoliate gently, shower, and shave 24 hours before to ensure your pores are closed on the day of your tan. An exfoliating mitt is useful. When shaving, avoid razors with a moisture strip as these may leave residue on your skin.  Remove any old self-tan completely. Avoid Dove or any oily products and do not moisturise on the day of your tan. Shower at least 4 hours before tanning to ensure your pores are closed. 

During your Spray Tan

Wear dark, loose clothes, flip flops or sliders and dark underwear. No leggings or tight clothes as these may make your tan patchy. Ideal clothes to wear afterwards are pj's, maxi dresses and long trousers , just to make sure that your tan is perfect until you rinse.  Disposable hairnets, thongs and nose filters are available at your appointment plus disposable slippers if required. You can be topless but bottoms must be worn.

Aftercare following your Spray Tan

Following your spray tan, you will be dried. Let your tan develop according to the guidance and advice given and rinse the guide colour off with warm water in the shower, this is the time to be really careful, no crying, washing your hands, scratching or tucking your legs under each other. No sweating, yoga or saunas. Pat dry and continue to let the tan develop.  If you choose an overnight tan please wear loose pyjamas with long trousers and sleeves in bed.  Rinse in the morning with warm water, pat dry and admire your tan.  You can now have a soapy shower and wash your hair.
